Paid Solicitor Bonds now required in Colorado
Effective August 10, 2016, paid solicitors will be required by the state of Colorado to carry a $15,000 surety bond. This is a change in law resulting from the passage of House Bill 16-1129 during the 2016 General Assembly. The purpose of the bond is to ensure that solicitors do not misrepresent the charity or commit charitable fraud.
